How the promotions work now
24 Hour Fitness runs its deals inside the online join flow. We found no code box: you pick a club, choose a club tier and membership level, and the promotion (on 09/29/2026, a $1 join fee and the first month’s dues waived on select KeepFit+ monthly memberships, per the current offers page) is attached to the eligible membership in the cart. Read the fee line before paying. The $69.99 annual fee is billed on the 15th day after enrollment, separately from dues, and the promo does not remove it.
The cheapest honest path to a membership
- Take the free 5-day pass first. It is a real pass, not a bait link, and it lets you check the equipment and the crowding at your training time before you pay anything. It is for local residents who have not been a guest or member in the last 6 months.
- Price the monthly offer against prepaid. The join page for your club shows both. The current online offer is on monthly KeepFit+ memberships, while prepaid dues lock you in for the term. Check the commitment period and cancellation fee before you pick, and commit only to a club you have visited.
- Budget for the annual fee on day 15. The $69.99 annual fee is billed on the 15th day after enrollment, on top of your dues and the $4.99 activation fee, so have it in the account before you join.
What changed since this page was first published in 2012
Joe was a 24 Hour Fitness member in 2011-2012, when he started this site, and the 2012 version led with 24 Hour Fitness offers: a “$0 initiation fee” promo on monthly memberships, free 3-day all-club and 7-day passes, and typed MyStore codes, all delivered through Commission Junction links. Those links are dead and the MyStore codes are gone. The pattern has survived: in 2012 the hook was a waived initiation fee on a monthly membership, and on 09/29/2026 it is a $1 join fee with the first month’s dues waived, still with fees on top (a $4.99 activation fee and the $69.99 annual fee). The free pass is still the best free thing they offer, now five days.

What are the membership tiers?
You choose two things. The club tier sets where you can train: Sport (over 90 clubs), Super-Sport (Sport and Super-Sport clubs, over 225) or Ultra-Sport (all clubs, over 235). The membership level sets what you get: GetFit (weights, cardio and turf at your club of enrollment only), KeepFit (adds GX classes, pools, saunas and courts) or KeepFit+ (adds Premium Wellness Benefits such as Recovery24, monthly body scans and a Buddy Pass). Prices vary by club; the join page for your club shows the current numbers.
