How Crunch pricing actually works

Crunch does not publish one national price list. Each club page on crunch.com prints its own three tiers, and on 09/28/2026 the numbers moved from club to club: Altamonte Springs, FL showed Base $15.99 a month ($9.99 with an annual commitment), Peak $24.99 and Peak Results $29.99; Abilene, TX had Peak at $25.99; Ahwatukee, AZ had Base at $9.99 with Peak and Peak Results both at $19.99. Crunch Signature clubs (about 28 of them in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami) use a different ladder entirely: Tribeca listed One Crunch at $114.75 and All Crunch at $127.20 a month.

The join flow at crunch.com/join has a “Have a promo code?” box under each plan, but crunch.com does not print any codes to type into it. Club promotions are applied automatically in the join flow instead: on 09/29/2026 the Altamonte Springs join page showed the $75 enrollment fee cut to $0.00 on Peak and Peak Results, while Base kept the $75 fee. These deals change per club and per month, so open your own club’s join page to see what is applied.

The fees the headline price leaves out

Crunch’s own FAQ is clear that the monthly number is not the whole bill:

• Enrollment fee. A one-time fee, paid when you sign the agreement, that varies by location and by tier.
• Processing fee. A recurring or one-time fee for the key tag and setup.
• Annual fee. Varies by home club, up to $89 at standard clubs; Signature clubs charge $89 plus tax three months after joining and yearly after that.
• Downgrade catch. If you downgrade in the first 90 days, the FAQ says you may be charged or credited the difference in enrollment fees, which matters if a promo waived the fee on your original tier.
• Class no-show fees. A list of about 30 clubs (mostly NYC, SF Bay Area and a few others) charges late-cancel and no-show fees on reserved classes.

Add the enrollment and processing fees your club quotes to get the real number. The $9.99 commitment plan saves $72 over month-to-month Base in year one, but you are locked in for the year, and the FAQ says refunds are only for the state-law grace period right after signing.

The cheapest honest path

1. Use the free one-day pass first. It is a real pass for people who have not been to Crunch before. Request it for your club, bring a state ID, and go at the hour you would actually train so you can see the crowd.
2. Open your club’s own page and read the three prices. Then check the enrollment fee in your club’s join flow and ask the desk for the processing fee, the annual-fee amount and its billing date. The club page does not print those numbers.
3. Ask about the discounts that are not advertised. Student and senior rates exist at many clubs but vary by location and are not published online. Military, veteran and first-responder members can verify through ID.me for the Peak Results Military Plan ($0 enrollment and $3 off monthly dues at participating clubs). A corporate discount through your employer is activated on the corporate memberships page.
4. Pick Base with the annual commitment only if you passed step one. It is the lowest year-one cost, but a month-to-month Base plan is the safer choice if you might move or switch gyms, because some memberships cannot be transferred between home clubs and would need to be cancelled and rejoined. Even month-to-month plans start with an initial 90-day membership period, per the join page.
5. Skip Peak Results unless you will use the extras. At Ahwatukee it cost the same as Peak, at Altamonte Springs it cost $5 more a month. Check what your club actually bundles before paying the difference.

Cancelling without a surprise bill

Cancellation is handled by your home club. Some clubs let you cancel online in the member portal; others require a phone call or a visit, and the notice period depends on your agreement and state law. The FAQ warns that if you simply stop paying, the balance keeps accruing and can go to collections. Cancel in writing and keep the confirmation.

What changed since 2012

When this site launched, its gym pages were built around typed coupon codes from an affiliate network. Crunch in 2026 has a promo-code box in its join flow but prints no codes, prices every club separately, and pushes its deals through auto-applied join-flow promotions and the free pass. It still charges a one-time enrollment fee ($75 on Base at Altamonte Springs on 09/29/2026) on top of the annual fee, so watch both lines. Crunch+ streaming did not exist then; its free trials and member pricing are new.

Affiliate program status

On 09/28/2026 we found no public affiliate program on crunch.com. The partner pages on crunch.com (brand partnerships, corporate and healthcare partnerships) are for co-marketing and employer deals aimed at its 2.5 million U.S. gym goers, not a per-signup commission program.
