Free 3-day guest pass for you and a friend
Non-members only, one pass per person every six months. Activate it within 30 days of the email; it then runs 3 consecutive days. Bring photo ID with a birth date; guests must be 16, or 13 with a parent or guardian, and sign a waiver. A fitness analysis and an orientation with a membership counselor come before you train. How we checked this page
lafitness.com did not answer requests from our machine or our fetch service on 09/29/2026, so every fact below comes from the Internet Archive’s dated copies of LA Fitness’s own pages (listed at the end). The 09/27/2026 homepage copy carried no promotional price at all, only Free Pass and Join Now buttons, and its fine print says web offers “may not be available at all locations.” We list one offer, the guest pass, because it is a standing program. The membership prices below are August 2026 examples, not live deals.
How the promotions work now
We found no coupon box on the LA Fitness join pages we read. The deal is the rate card for the club you pick in the join flow (Join Now, your state, then Join this Club). Two Florida rate pages show how it is built:

So the initiation-fee “promo” is really a choice: at some clubs the initiation fee is $0, and at others you can trade a $99 initiation fee for $10 a month off. Every plan was month-to-month and auto-renewing.
The multi-club and nationwide plans cover every LA Fitness and City Sports Club location in your state or the country. The fine print excludes City Sports Club Plus unless the rate names it, and the Melbourne page also excludes “any Elevate-branded club.” In the pages we read, Esporta Fitness appears only as a name in the guest-pass terms, with no Esporta plan or price. The club list tags some locations Signature or Premier Plus, and prices “may vary by location.”
The cheapest honest path
- Use the free 3-day pass first. It covers you and a friend for three straight days, but you must activate it within 30 days, and a fitness analysis and a sit-down with a membership counselor come first. Train at your usual hour before you decide.
- Buy only the reach you use. On the Melbourne card, year one (12 months of dues plus one annual fee, before tax) is $428.88 for Basic, $488.88 for the state plan and $548.88 for nationwide. If you never leave your home club, Basic saves $120 a year over nationwide and $60 over the state plan.
- Run the $99 math if your club offers it. At Palm Beach Gardens the $99 initiation cut nationwide dues by $10 a month, which pays back in month 10: $527.88 versus $548.88 in year one. If you might quit sooner, take the $0 initiation rate.
Fees and exclusions
- Annual fee: $69 per person, billed 14 days after enrollment and yearly after that.
- Last month up front: it is prepaid at signup and used when you cancel.
- Payment: dues are drafted by EFT from a checking, savings or accepted credit card account.
- Extras: Kids Klub, personal training and some court and league use cost more. The Pilates, Glute Room and Studio Group Training studios are included only when your plan says so.
- Age: members must be 16, or 13 with a guardian who signs.
How to cancel, as the site states it
The Membership Questions page (newest readable copy 03/30/2026) says month-to-month memberships can be cancelled any time three ways: written notice mailed to P.O. Box 54170, Irvine, CA 92619 (certified mail recommended), in person at a club’s front desk, or through your online account, where the 09/24/2026 site map lists a Cancellation Form. Mail it so it is postmarked at least 5 business days before your billing date, or you may be billed once more, which LA Fitness says it refunds. Plans with an initial term of three months or more carry a termination fee if you leave early. If you only need a break of more than 30 days, a monthly-dues freeze costs $10 a month.
Affiliate program status
We found no LA Fitness affiliate or publisher program on 09/29/2026: no partner link on the site map or footer, and no program turned up in web searches. We found no code box and no printed codes on the lafitness.com pages we read. Pricing loads per club in the Join Now flow, and the homepage fine print says web offers cannot be combined with other offers and that other offers may be available at a club. Treat any "LA Fitness promo code" on a coupon site as unverified.
Does LA Fitness still charge an initiation fee?
It depends on the club and plan. Two Florida rate pages from August 2026 showed a $0 initiation fee on Basic and on the $39.99 nationwide plan, while one Signature club also offered nationwide access at $29.99 a month with a $99 initiation fee. Open your own club's rate page before you compare.
