How Onnit pricing works in 2026

Onnit now sells through a Shopify storefront aimed at US customers only. There is no coupon box on the product page; the cart has a Coupon Code field for Onnit X rewards and partner codes, but only one code works per order and codes cannot be used on subscription orders (Onnit help center). Every product shows two purchase options, “One-time purchase” and “Subscribe & save”, and the second one is where the standing 15% lives. The subscription terms say the discount comes off MSRP from the first order onward, does not stack with sale prices, and can be cancelled from the account dashboard at any time without a fee. On 09/28/2026 the storefront banner read “Save 15%. Ship free. Stay flexible.” while the written subscription terms say normal shipping rates apply, so look at the shipping line in the cart before you confirm a subscription under $100.

The other 15% is the community discount for military (active and inactive), first responders, medical professionals and teachers. You verify once through ID.me on the payment screen and the status attaches to your account. It cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts (the subscription 15% included) or sales, and during site-wide sales Onnit applies whichever discount is larger (Onnit help center).

The cheapest honest path

1. Buy the largest count, not the smallest. Alpha BRAIN 30 count is $34.95 ($1.17 per capsule), 60 count is $57.95 ($0.97), 90 count is $79.95 ($0.89). Subscribing to the 90 count brings it to $67.96, or about $0.76 per capsule, 35% below the 30-count one-time price.
2. Use the first-purchase guarantee as your trial. Onnit does not sell sample sizes on its store, but the 30-day guarantee refunds the product cost of a first-time purchase of any supplement with no return. That makes the first bottle a paid trial you can undo. Shipping is not refunded, and it only works once per product.
3. Clear $100 after discounts if you are in the lower 48. A 90-count Alpha BRAIN subscription at $67.96 does not reach the threshold; adding a 90-serving creatine subscription ($37.99, or $32.29 subscribed) does.
4. Know the HSA/FSA rules before using that route. Onnit routes HSA/FSA purchases through Truemed, which issues a Letter of Medical Necessity after a health survey reviewed by a licensed provider (Onnit help center). The IRS treats supplements as a medical expense only when a medical practitioner recommends them as treatment for a specific condition diagnosed by a physician (IRS FAQ), so check with your plan administrator or a tax professional first. It is a payment path, not a discount.

Exclusions and fees to know

• Supplements and food are not returnable. The guarantee is a refund-and-keep policy, limited to first purchases made directly on onnit.com. Amazon orders do not qualify.
• Free shipping needs a $100 subtotal after every discount, contiguous US only. Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands pay shipping; Puerto Rico orders should be entered with the territory as the country so USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground show up.
• Subscription rebills charge automatically on the processing date. If one processes before you wanted it and has not shipped, cancelling it from the dashboard refunds that order but also cancels the subscription; once it has shipped, you have to contact support (Onnit subscription FAQ).
• Bundle prices (Total Human + Alpha BRAIN at $174.32, Brain + Energy at $111.88) are sale prices, so the subscription 15% does not stack on them.
• Onnit no longer ships creatine or Total Nitric Oxide to New York addresses because of a state supplement law (Onnit help center).

What changed since the equipment years

The help center still carries an entry titled “What about my fitness order?”, but the store itself has no fitness gear: Onnit says it discontinued all fitness equipment, kettlebells and steel maces included, and will not restock it (Onnit help center). Both catalog pages together list roughly 30 products, all supplements and nutrition, and searching “kettlebell” returns ten training articles and zero products. If you came here for Primal Bells or a steel mace, Rogue Fitness, REP Fitness and Titan Fitness sell kettlebells today.

On the products themselves

Alpha BRAIN is sold with structure/function language (“supports memory, focus and mental processing speed”), the kind of claim the FDA does not pre-approve; the maker must have substantiation, notify the FDA within 30 days of marketing, and print a disclaimer that the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease (FDA, Structure/Function Claims). The published evidence is two small placebo-controlled trials. The first, a 6-week randomized, double-blind trial in 63 healthy adults, found improvements in delayed verbal recall and executive function versus placebo, with an Onnit Labs author on the paper and a closing line that the results merit further study (Solomon et al., 2016, PMID 26876224). The second, funded by an Onnit grant, gave 43 active-duty US soldiers Alpha BRAIN or placebo for 30 days and found no significant effect on marksmanship, mood or stress (Barringer et al., 2018, PMID 29855372). That is thin compared with the creatine Onnit also sells, where the International Society of Sports Nutrition’s position stand describes consistent gains in high-intensity exercise performance and a safety record of up to 30 g per day for five years in healthy people (ISSN position stand, 2017). For training performance per dollar, the $37.99 creatine tub is the stronger buy; to test Alpha BRAIN, buy the 90 count once, use the guarantee if it does nothing for you, and subscribe only after you have decided.

Affiliate program status

Onnit runs its affiliate program on Impact: 15% universal commission, a $10 trial-signup bounty and a 45-day referral window, with “a very limited number of spots” and a 72-hour review, per onnit.com/pages/affiliate-program. This site has not applied yet, and no link on this page pays us anything. When that changes, the disclosure page will say so.
