How WHOOP pricing works now
WHOOP does not sell the strap on its own. The hardware comes with the membership, which is why the prices read as “Available at $199/yr” rather than a device price plus a subscription. On 09/28/2026 the three tiers on whoop.com/us/en/membership were:

Every tier is listed as HSA/FSA eligible, includes a lifetime warranty while the membership is active, and includes a free year of the Natural Cycles app for people new to Natural Cycles, which ends when the membership ends. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades are scheduled and apply at the next renewal. You do not return your current device when you switch tiers. An upgrade to Life ships a new MG device, and WHOOP’s membership page FAQ says an upgrade from One to Peak ships a new 5.0.
The public pages only show the per-year number. The join page FAQ describes 12-month plans, with monthly financing on a one-year commitment as an option, and WHOOP’s discount FAQ also mentions 24-month plans; the exact billing options appear in checkout.
The cheapest honest path
- Start with the free trial, not a paid tier. The trial is a Peak membership on a certified pre-owned 5.0 (WHOOP says minor cosmetic scratches are possible) with nothing charged up front.
- Decide before the trial ends, not after. The trial auto-converts to Peak at $239/yr. If One is enough for you, buy a One annual membership before the trial ends. If it is not for you, cancel and ship the device back inside 14 days; WHOOP charges $5.99 for the return label, and missing the window costs a $110 restocking fee.
- Get a referral link from a member you know. The refer-a-friend program gives the new member one free month and the referrer one free month. That is the only “code” that works for a normal shopper.
- Check whether you qualify for 10% off. Students verify through Student Beans and get 10% off any tier. Military, first responders and nurses who are new members verify through ID.me on whoop.com and get a code for 10% off prepaid Peak and Life plans (not One, the trial or Family plans).
- Price the Trade Up if you already own a wearable. The join page advertises up to $119 off for sending in an eligible device. Run the calculator before you commit and read the Trade Up terms; the join page FAQ has its own entry for what happens if you never mail in the old device.
- Consider a Family Plan if you would join together with two to six other people. The join page promises one bill and savings but prints no number, so get the quote in checkout. The 10% hero discount does not apply to Family plans.
Fees, exclusions and the cancellation fine print
- 30-day return window on paid memberships. You can cancel and return the device for any reason within 30 days of receipt and get the initial membership fee back, less return shipping. The device has to arrive at WHOOP within 30 days of the return request. This window does not apply to free-trial members.
- After 30 days there is no prorated refund. Canceling mid-term stops the renewal but the membership runs to the end of the term you already paid for.
- Auto-renewal at the then-current price. WHOOP can change the price at renewal; the Terms of Use say you renew at whatever the tier costs at that time, so recheck the price a month before your renewal date.
- Lifetime warranty conditions. WHOOP’s Terms of Use (last updated 08/03/2026 per the page) cover defects for as long as the membership is active with no unpaid balance and a valid payment method on file, for devices bought from WHOOP or an authorized reseller. Lost devices, chargers and normal wear and tear are not covered. Returns of reseller purchases go through the reseller’s own return policy, not WHOOP’s 30-day window.
- Medical-grade features have limits. ECG is not for anyone under 22, anyone with a known arrhythmia other than AFib, and is not recommended with a pacemaker or ICD; irregular-heart-rhythm notifications are not for anyone under 22 or with known AFib. Both are region-restricted. Blood Pressure Insights is a wellness feature, not a medical device. Healthspan is 18 and over. If you are buying Life for those features, confirm they are enabled where you live first.
- Advanced Labs is separate. The bloodwork add-on is US-only, needs an active membership or trial, and is not offered in a few states.
What changed since the 2012 version of this site
In 2012 this site’s only wearable deals were typed MyStore codes for the Fitbit and the BodyBugg, delivered through an affiliate network. WHOOP is the opposite model: no device to buy, no public code to paste, and every discount is verification-, referral- or trade-in-based. That is why the offers above list who qualifies rather than a string to paste.
Affiliate program status
WHOOP runs its own affiliate application through a Typeform linked from the whoop.com footer (“Become an Affiliate”). The form states that admitted affiliates earn a $50 commission on every new member they refer. This site has not applied. Questions people ask
How much does WHOOP cost per year?
On 09/28/2026 whoop.com listed three memberships, each with the hardware included. WHOOP One is $199 per year with a WHOOP 5.0 and a wired charger, Peak is $239 per year with a 5.0 and the wireless PowerPack, and Life is $359 per year with the WHOOP MG device. The public pages quote annual prices; WHOOP's FAQs mention 12-month and 24-month plans and monthly financing on a one-year commitment, with the options shown at checkout.
Is there a WHOOP promo code?
Not a public one. The discounts WHOOP runs are unlocked by verification (student, military, first responder, nurse), by a referral link from an existing member, or by the Trade Up calculator. Military, first responder and nurse verification issues a code you enter at checkout. A "WHOOP coupon code" on a third-party site is almost always a referral link or stale.
Can I cancel WHOOP and get a refund?
Yes, within 30 days of receiving the device. You return the device at your own cost and get the initial membership fee back less return shipping. After 30 days you can cancel, but the membership runs to the end of the current term with no prorated refund. Free-trial members are covered by the trial rules instead. Cancel during the trial and return the device within 14 days (WHOOP charges $5.99 return shipping) or a $110 restocking fee applies.
What does the WHOOP strap measure?
WHOOP describes 24/7 monitoring across sleep, strain, recovery, stress and heart health, with steps, VO2 max estimates and heart-rate zones on every tier. Peak adds Healthspan, a stress monitor and health alerts. Life adds the MG device with an ECG heart screener, on-demand AFib detection and blood-pressure insights, which WHOOP labels as regulated or wellness-only features with age and region limits.
Does the free trial turn into a paid plan automatically?
Yes. WHOOP's Terms of Use state that at the end of the free trial your account rolls into a paid Peak annual membership at the price in effect when the trial started, unless you cancel or choose a different tier first. If you were charged by mistake and tell WHOOP in writing, they reverse the charge.
